We are very neglectful bloggers. No post since December. We were so fortunate to have the Machias group come up last April for an open Mic. We'll get down for one of their practices soon. What great fun talent they all are!
I am in Northern California now. Going to listen to some jazz this morning at Coffee Roasters in San Anselmo. The fleajumpers are meeting and the Berkley Club meets this Friday I believe. I hoped to catch a Luau nearby but need to find out where they meet this week. I've been really sick not down and out just unable to sing and gunky. The poor cats have been banned from my area in the house here.
Working on learning to pick out tunes better and read tabs. Now to read notes...

Piers Partridge in G.B.

Piers Partridge currently my favorite ukulele player who I believe lives near Bristol where my brother in law James used to live. His group is called Pindrop music and you can find them at Coveywood's channel.
We'd love to get them all over to Maine someday.

Snowing here. We're supposed to get 6-8 inches! That's a bit more than this mornings forecast of 1-2.
Time to start humidifying our ukes for the dry winter indoor air. Maybe we could crawl into a ukulele case with an apple to keep ourselves from drying out too?

Bed blog

Aloha uke lovers,
Well we are missing Micca but she is doing west coast funnnnnnnn things while we are doing Maine work things. Charlotte is visiting from Boston with her new Lanakai CONCERT uke and it sounds fantastic! She is writing flamenco songs already and I am lovin it. We would play you one right now but we are in bed. The ukulele is downstairs.

We are discussing the festival we will be having next summer here, dreaming about various uke artists we would like to have.

Aquila Nylgut strings

Just put on new sets of Aquila  Nylgut strings on my tenor with low wound G and my pineapple soprano. They both sound so much better. I had tried using a small gauge guitar metal wound string for the low G but there was a funny metal ringing from it. Micca

Bosko and Honey's ukulele safari 2010

Just voted for my favorite entry for the contest. There are really some fun and talented uke folks out there.
