You can follow the Mainely Ukulele Guild antics if you so choose and see pictures at http://www.mainelyukulele.org">

Most of the time we play our Ukuleles and perform at the infamous Open Mic at The Valley of Stars Center in Brooksville Maine home of the www.Tinder Hearth Wood Fired Bakery check us out.

We started teaching ukulele this summer and that was a blast. We forgot to take pictures!!! So now we know better.

Fall classes are starting and this is going to help us grope through the looooong winter days of Maine. We have a nice group of ukulele lovers in our group. From 10 to ???? in ages. We wouldn't want to give all our secrets away.

We are starting the Mainely Ukulele Guild finally!! This will be a ukulele party twice a month which will be a venue for us to go wild on our ukuleles.

Micca and I have been jonesen' to go to a Uke festival. We hemmed and hawed about the Nova Scotia festival, but now we have decided to host a festival next summer here in Maine!!!! So look out for that.

Well we love Aldrine from Ukulele Underground!

I have been on a Ukulele learning adventure taking Jazz Ukulele lessons from Mark A. Occhioneroo . These lessons take place on Skype, well that is interesting to say the least.
Mark is a blast he is a Scientist and I am a Blues Bass player so you can imagine the combination. He thinks in a world that most of us don't even have a glimpse of. I am on a mission to open that door. He is a brilliant player and has a Ukulele collection to die for. Well not exactly to crave for.

Micca and I went to Portland to see Jake Shimabukuro play at One Longfellow Square.

What a performance!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Such an intimate venue. Everyone was so close to Jake! The setting was perfect. Jake was so gracious. We lucked out big time to be so close to the virtuoso.

WE ARE TOTALLY IN LOVE WITH THIS MAN!

At any rate back home here in northern Maine we had a big fun surprise when Noel Stookey of Peter Paul and Mary, a friend of Micca's sent us this brilliant video of 5'2".
This could be a big time new career for Paul don't you Ukulele lovers think?

<embed src="http://www.youtube.com/get_player" type="application/x-shockwave-flash"width="320" height="266" bgcolor="#FFFFFF"flashvars="flvurl=http://v5.nonxt4.googlevideo.com/videoplayback?id%3Db841c051711376c6%26itag%3D5%26app%3Dblogger%26ip%3D0.0.0.0%26ipbits%3D0%26expire%3D1331149537%26sparams%3Did,itag,ip,ipbits,expire%26signature%3D5100534C3325CA2B6E30E805785EBD087F40D35E.5E486FA91F9F7A12C6ABEEB69FE8A50AE15AC7E6%26key%3Dck1&iurl=http://video.google.com/ThumbnailServer2?app%3Dblogger%26contentid%3Db841c051711376c6%26offsetms%3D5000%26itag%3Dw160%26sigh%3D0bkboK3F-n1O_HZ402NhFaYaSmc&autoplay=0&ps=blogger"allowFullScreen="true" />

Well tune in for more ukulele insights.
